    Updated spaces gets a facelift thanks to Helen and Shu

    I should have blogged about this a while ago but I was lazy :P
     
    Anyway, Helen and Shu, two fabulous interns from my old university (U of Waterloo) were tasked last internship to come up with something fun and cool for their intern project.
     
    The caveats were that it had to use existing APIs and it couldn't do something that would take down our servers making too many calls, and it had to be cool!
     
    Anyway, both being worldly people, they decided to make it so that it would be easier to discover cool spaces around the world since Spaces is such a global service. And what better way to get distribution than to piggyback on a module that millions of users already have! - Updated spaces!!
     
    So if you already have the updated spaces module, you'll see there's now a map view with gleams to indicate updated spaces. If you don't have the updated spaces module, go add this today!!
     
    Good job Helen and Shu - the feature looks awesome!
     
    (I'm unfortunately still marked as a space in the Japanese market and so map view is not available but it is in most markets)

    To be honest, I actually liked it better as a list. Is there a way to make it default to a list again. Putting something on a map is all fine, but I just used the list to click on a random name whenever I felt lucky. If I want to do that now I first have to click a gleam and I'll end up somewhere...
